Steveston

Salmonopolis

This quaint fishing village at the mouth of the Fraser River was voted #1 Metro Vancouver neighbourhood out of 192 in 2020. Much of it was declared a heritage zone in 1960, which accounts the warm, old-timey vibe. But it is also a working fishing village, which makes it a seafood lover’s paradise. Buy fresh seafood right off the dock at Steveston Spot Prawns and Seafood, or stop into a fish shop. In season (May to July), treat yourself to some spot prawns from Prawns on the Spot.

This project is a partnership with the Steveston Historical Society.

We respectfully acknowledge that Vancouver is on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Musqueam, Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
